Perge is a city founded by the Hittites 6,000 years ago. For a long time Greeks and Romans lived here. Their death was a devastating earthquake. The magnificent theater still gives an idea of the scale of the ancient city. 14,000 visitors found a place in the Perge theatre. The ruins are 15 kilometers from Antalya.

 

Antalya Beach Park

On top of the cliffs at Konyaaltı Beach, you will find Atatürk Park. It extends parallel to Konyaaltı Street. Nothing can be heard from the traffic noise of a busy main road. Roads lead to coves along cliffs. The park also has several small restaurants and picnic tables. You can get sun loungers and umbrellas at the nearby Konyaaltı beach. So you can spend a comfortable day at the beach.

 

Kazima Ozalpa Street

The street is not one of Antalya's typical attractions, but the busiest pedestrian zone in the city centre. It starts from the clock tower and continues north to Muratpaşa Kamiya (Muratpaşa Mosque). There are many shops, bars and pubs on the street. If you want to buy something, compare prices in individual stores. The differences can be quite large. Some exchange offices were opened due to tourists. Unfortunately, they offer a rather poor exchange rate. You can get the best price by withdrawing cash from a credit card at a bank.

 

Antalya Aquarium

Antalya Aquarium in Konyaaltı offers a change to the beach. The cleanly designed pools are home to underwater animals from all over the world. You can see sharks, octopuses and some reptiles.
